Duties
- Mechanical and electrical assembly, integration and testing of prototypes and products
- Environmental testing of prototypes and products (vibration, thermal vacuum, etc.)
- Support and review mechanical, thermal and electrical design
- Ground support equipment design and manufacturing for handling and testing
- Provide testing input to the wider team and incorporate their feedback
Must Have
- MSc or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Problem solving, hands-on abilities and adaptation skills
- Hands-on experience with design and assembly of complex assemblies
- Knowledge or experience in environmental testing, including measurement concepts, data acquisition and measurement automation, data analysis, plotting and reporting
- Experience in CAD
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to learn a broad range of engineering topics
Nice to Have
- Experience in production of engineering drawings (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Experience with milling machines, lathes, drills and similar equipment
- Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, C, C++)
- Experience with environmental testing (vibration, thermal)
- Experience with optical components and systems (laser diodes, optical fibers, photodiodes)
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Prior experience in space sector
