Your mission

You will prepare, design and execute tests for prototypes of opto-mechatronic systems, managing test data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting. Your work will focus especially on space equipment qualification.

  • Adapt and use available testing equipment for specific tests, particularly thermal vacuum chambers, thermal chambers and shakers for space qualification.
  • Design test equipment and build entirely new test setups to extend facility capabilities.
  • Assist in prototype development and test operations.
  • Provide testing perspective input to the broader team and integrate their feedback into test planning.

What we need

  • MSc or University Degree in electromechanical engineering (preferred), electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in environmental testing: measurement concepts, data acquisition and automation, data analysis, plotting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or C++.
  • Hands-on abilities and strong adaptation skills.
  • Open to juniors with no prior work experience, provided you have strong motivation to learn and work on multidisciplinary tasks.

Nice to have

  • Experience with optical components and systems: laser diodes, optical fibres, photodiodes.
  • Experience with thermal, vacuum or vibration testing.
  • Experience in space-oriented AITV (Assembly, Integration, Test and Verification) processes.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
