RF Test Engineer Verified today
About the role
AnySignal is hiring an RF Test Engineer to verify RF hardware performance from individual components to complete software-defined radios and signal chains. You'll own RF tests from planning through final data analysis: writing test procedures, building test setups, running measurements, and communicating results to design teams.
This is hands-on work moving between bench equipment and code. You'll use spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, VNAs and signal generators alongside Python-based automated test frameworks.
What you'll do
- Work with hardware design engineers to convert product requirements into test plans
- Run tests, record data, and share findings with stakeholders
- Use lab equipment for hardware bring-up and root cause analysis of failures
- Write Python code to extend our automated test framework
- Manage test equipment, including calibration and maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited school
- 2+ years of relevant work experience building, analyzing and deploying RF test systems
- Hands-on bench time with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and vector network analyzers
- Deep, practical knowledge of RF measurements including linearity, noise spectral density (NSD) and error vector magnitude (EVM)
Preferred experience
- Python for controlling test equipment
- RF and mixed-signal components: amplifiers, filters, data converters and antennas
- Environmental testing such as vibration, thermal cycling and thermal vacuum
- Testing standards such as SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-461G
Compensation
Base salary range: $100,000-$130,000 per year, plus equity. Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, HSA and 401(k).
Export control requirement
To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
