About the role

You will work on satellite propulsion assembly, testing, and production support for AST SpaceMobile's global cellular broadband network. This role bridges hands-on technician work with engineering support, requiring both detailed execution and leadership of small teams.

What you will do

  • Execute propulsion system assembly, test, and quality control tasks using work instructions and detailed test procedures.
  • Develop and maintain propulsion assembly documentation: assembly reports, non-conformance reports, test procedures, tooling, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Maintain test and inventory databases for all propulsion production activities.
  • Troubleshoot component anomalies and failures; perform root-cause analysis and disposition.
  • Develop reference performance test plans and procedures; identify hardware needs and design test setups.
  • Work with the spacecraft team to validate requirements, develop test architecture, and implement production work instructions.
  • Generate verification and validation plans with the Integration and Test team to ensure subsystem compliance.
  • Establish working relationships with subsystem leads, system engineers, and integration teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to peers, management, and customers.
  • Maintain regular and predictable work schedule.

What we need

  • Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in electric propulsion assembly and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
  • Strong background in space propulsion assembly, operation, and testing, particularly with work instructions and test procedures.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with other engineers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
