About the role
AST SpaceMobile is building the first global cellular broadband network in space, designed to operate directly with standard mobile devices for commercial and government applications. We need a Software Engineer to test, validate, and integrate mission-critical embedded flight software across our satellite constellation.
What you will do
- Write Python scripts and automation tools for testing and validation
- Read, understand, and debug C/C++ flight software using debuggers and analysis tools
- Support hardware-software integration and system-level verification activities
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams on embedded systems validation
- Apply software design principles and debugging techniques to safety-critical systems
What we need
- Strong Python proficiency for scripting, automation, and test tooling
- Good understanding of C/C++ (able to read code, trace control flow, debug with tools)
- Solid grasp of software design principles, data structures, and debugging techniques
- Hands-on experience in Linux environments
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science
- Exposure to embedded systems, hardware-software integration, or system testing
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, telecom, or other safety-critical domains preferred
- MATLAB programming is an added advantage
