About the role
You will measure and validate performance of RF components including LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, and oscillators. You will write automation code to speed up measurements, and document test plans, measurement methodologies, and data for review.
This is a 12-week salaried associate position designed for graduates with a bachelor's degree. You will work on projects of equal importance and difficulty to those assigned to full-time engineers. Many past Associate Engineers have designed and tested hardware that has flown on Astranis satellites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, or related technical field
- Deep knowledge of basic RF concepts: transmission lines, S-parameters, RF building blocks (amps, mixers, attenuators)
- Experience taking RF measurements with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers
- Experience with Python and object-oriented programming
- Passion for hardware development and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Bonus qualifications
- Antennas and electromagnetics propagation knowledge
- Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR)
- Experience automating RF measurements
Compensation
Base salary: $1,925 per week.
