About AstroForge
AstroForge's mission is to make space resources accessible on Earth by mining asteroids to extract valuable minerals in space. We seek to expand humanity's capabilities in space with lower cost and smaller carbon footprint than terrestrial mining.
The Role
Join us as a Radio Frequency Engineer to design and develop RF hardware for satellite-to-Earth ground station communication. You will be expert in antenna engineering, RF design, high-frequency systems, high-power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, microwave engineering, and front-end development.
Your Responsibilities
- Design RF hardware for satellite-to-earth ground station communication, focusing on S-band and/or X-band radio frequencies.
- Perform board design, operate RF test equipment, and test and analyze RF performance.
- Design an S-band radio sub-system for Mission 3 and future missions.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication subsystem design.
- Evaluate space links and trade studies, including detailed link budgets.
- Lead RF Compatibility Testing in factory and at field sites.
