The Role
You will lead major testing campaigns and systems engineering for the AxEVA System. This is a senior technical role requiring resilience, high accountability, and execution discipline in a complex, fast-moving environment. You report to the Systems Engineering and Integration Manager and work onsite in Webster, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end systems engineering for AxEVA: suits, flight support equipment, training equipment, ground equipment, and EVA tools
- Define concept of operations, functions, and interfaces; develop subsystem-level requirements and procurement specifications
- Plan and coordinate verification of all EVA requirements and validation of operations concepts
- Define and implement requirements and design validation activities
- Develop and maintain system and subsystem integrated performance assessments
- Coordinate product breakdown structures and system architecture definition
- Monitor design and testing progress; identify and communicate potential issues
- Develop waivers and variance documentation
- Coordinate integrated Verification and Validation test plans, procedures, and schedules across all engineering teams
- Define V&V approaches, requirements, and implementation plans for systems, subsystems, and components
- Collaborate with subsystem engineers, program office, and external customers on planning and execution
- Capture V&V evidence and coordinate requirement close-out documentation
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of systems engineering and integration experience
- Track record of execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality

Working Conditions
Primarily office-based in Webster, Texas, with occasional inside or outside work depending on tasks. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and lifting up to 25 lbs (5% of the time). Must be willing to work evenings and weekends to meet critical project milestones.
Export Control
This position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Final candidates may be required to undergo additional export control screening to determine eligibility for access. Meeting these requirements is a condition of employment.
