About the Role
Axiom Space is seeking a Senior Assembly, Integration & Test Engineer specializing in pressure systems and leak testing. You will lead and support design efforts for ground support and test systems, work hands-on to ensure test system functionality, and collaborate with technicians and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality test infrastructure for Axiom Station hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support design efforts for new ground support and test systems related to leak and pressure systems testing
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with existing test systems to facilitate rapid iterative testing
- Work hands-on to get test systems functional and eliminate barriers to testing
- Conduct and assist with test planning, risk assessments, safety and test readiness reviews
- Support use of testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance
- Lead and support generation of post-test data reviews and test report documentation
- Collaborate with technicians to build high-quality and functional test systems
- Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
- Implement and maintain agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in test engineering or similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience in building, testing, and/or assembling spaceflight hardware
- Experience in selecting mechanical components and instrumentation for test systems
- Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results
Preferred Qualifications
- ANSI/ASNT CP-189 certification, ASNT Standard for Qualification and Certification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel Level II or III

Work Environment and Requirements
- Generally office-based, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)

- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
