Role

This is a conversion opportunity for interns who completed a 2026 internship with Blue Origin. You will transition to a full-time Materials and Process Engineer I position starting on or before September 2027. You will provide centralized support to Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations across our space vehicle and systems programmes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2026
  • Enrolled or recently graduating student attending a college or university
  • Able to start working full-time on or before September 2027
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programmes
  • Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for Blue Origin's mission with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant internship or co-op and academic project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Co-curricular engagement

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range varies by location:

  • CA: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
  • CO: $74,537.00 - $104,351.10
  • WA: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
  • VA: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85

Other site ranges may differ.

Stock options available for all regular employees working at least 20 hours per week. Paid time off of up to four weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Background Check and Clearance

Blue's Standard Background Check is required for all positions. Additional background checks may be required depending on job profile, including Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if the role requires access to a military installation.
