About This Role

This is a conversion opportunity for interns who successfully completed a 2026 internship with Blue Origin. You will transition to a full-time Propulsion Engineer I position, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

What You'll Do

  • Work on propulsion systems for reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles
  • Support rapid development programs as both an independent contributor and team member
  • Seek out requirements and take ownership with minimal direction
  • Collaborate across business units and functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a Blue Origin internship in 2026
  • Enrolled or recently graduating student from a college or university
  • Able to start full-time work on or before September 2027
  • B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
  • Self-driven with ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for Blue Origin's mission with strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Must be U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant internship, co-op, and academic project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Co-curricular engagement

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range varies by location. CA, WA, and VA applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85. CO applicants: $74,537.00 - $104,351.10. Other site ranges may differ.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with company match up to 5%, and Education Support Program. Stock options for all regular employees working at least 20 hours per week. Up to four weeks paid time off per year and up to 14 company-paid holidays. Bonuses may be eligible based on role type and job level.

Background Check and Requirements

Blue's Standard Background Check is required for all positions. Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check may be required if role requires access to military installations. Additional requirements apply for certain roles involving commercial vehicle operation or hazardous materials transport.
