Thermal Engineer I - Intern Conversion
This is a full-time position for interns who successfully completed a Blue Origin internship in 2026. You will start working on or before September 2027.
What you will do
You will join Blue Origin's corporate functions, providing centralized thermal engineering support across business unit teams, functions, and locations. You will work on rapid development programs, analyze and design thermal systems, and own technical requirements with minimal direction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successfully completed a Blue Origin internship in 2026
- Currently enrolled or recently graduating from a college or university
- Minimum B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, astronautical engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
- Self-driven with ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Passion for Blue Origin's mission with desire to continuously learn and improve
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant internship or co-op experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership
- Hands-on project experience
- Co-curricular engagement
Compensation
Base pay range varies by location:
- CA, WA, VA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
- CO applicants: $80,499.00 - $112,697.55
- Other site ranges may differ
