About This Role

Blue Origin is hiring Aerospace Systems Engineers for two full-time pathways:

• Direct Hire: Join an engineering team across Business Units including New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Permanence, Blue National Security, Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering, and Operations.
• New Graduate Rotation Program: A one-year development program with three four-month rotations across multiple business units. After completion, you will determine your best team fit for ongoing career placement.

What You Will Do

• Design and engineer systems infrastructure including hardware, software, and configurations.
• Decompose customer requirements into test system requirements specifications with bi-directional traceability.
• Develop and manage interfaces through requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and drawings.
• Lead and present at major gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) on system technical readiness and Systems Engineering deliverables.
• Own verification and validation planning, traceability and completion through test plan creation and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
• Apply systems engineering to fluid, mechanical, propulsion and electrical systems.
• Establish and improve processes and procedures with your team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field, earned within the last year.
• Able to start by Fall 2027.
• Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering experience on complex systems.
• Experience breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks and communicating project status clearly.
• Relevant internship, co-op, or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset with self-driven approach to seeking requirements with minimal direction.

Desired Experience

• M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area.
• Experience with requirements development and management tools such as Jama.
• Experience with systems engineering modeling tools such as Rhapsody or Cameo.
• Model Based Systems Engineering experience.
• Flight Dynamics experience.
• Customer-facing roles with experience presenting to and interacting with customers.

Compensation

Base Pay Range:

• Colorado applicants: $74,537.00 - $104,351.10
• Washington applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
• Other site ranges may differ
