What you will do
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand project and testing requirements
- Implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and report findings to development teams
- Continuously improve test automation processes and frameworks
- Ensure robust test coverage across all application components
- Periodically support testing events on second shift
- Travel up to 15% required
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience in one or a combination of: spacecraft/satellite test development, automation and/or execution, software development, hardware ownership (Responsible Engineer), or hardware qualification and/or acceptance testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in test automation using Python
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest)
- Experience with requirements verification
- Experience using Docker or containerized environments
- Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++
- Hands-on experience conducting tests in a lab setting
- Experience in a lead role or managing a test team
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing
- Experience in agile development environments
- Holding a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance if requested
