Core Test EGSE Manager – Lunar Permanence Verified today
Role Overview
You will report to the Senior Manager of Lunar Core Components Test Equipment and lead a consolidated EGSE team supporting all of Lunar Permanence. Your primary focus is the design, build, and commissioning of electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) rack equipment. You will integrate, coordinate, and triage engineering support across integrated product teams and test engineers working on avionics and RF systems test.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical team, including performance evaluations, compensation and promotion management, and career development conversations
- Design, build, and commission EGSE rack equipment supporting lunar vehicle testing
- Lead multidisciplinary development and verification tests, managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost
- Work independently as lead test engineer executing test procedures and ensuring all steps and processes are followed
- Own accountability for hardware safety and personnel safety during testing
- Establish and maintain a high-performing safety culture across the team
- Travel approximately 25% of the time, with select periods up to 50% to support testing at remote sites
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with employee career management responsibility
- 6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to spaceflight
- Experience leading multidisciplinary development and verification tests
- Demonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety culture
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with verification, integration, and test of orbital vehicles or human-rated spacecraft
- Experience interfacing EGSE with avionics components (flight computers, power distribution, RF/radios)
- Demonstrated drive to correct errors at their root and not pass them downstream
- Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvement for processes, methods, and practices
- Familiarity with agile project management
- Experience with space vehicle design, development, and test
Compensation
Base Pay Range for WA applicants: $150,743.00 - $211,039.50. Other site ranges may differ.
