About TeraWave

Blue Origin is pioneering space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite constellation in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO). The network will deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps with optically interconnected satellites providing enterprise-grade connectivity worldwide.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and regression suites for HIL verification.
  • Create data-driven test sequences per defined test coverage requirements; verify results against pass/fail criteria.
  • Debug and triage automation failures; implement fixes and improvements to test script robustness.
  • Contribute to test automation framework maintenance and feature development under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support production line test automation deployment; assist with training materials and knowledge transfer.
  • Document automation scripts, test coverage, and framework usage for team reference.
  • Coordinate with EGSE Software Engineers on software interface requirements and tool updates.
  • Capture and track automation-related anomalies; support disposition and root cause analysis.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation, software-in-the-loop, or hardware test scripting in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics.
  • Proficiency in Python; experience developing automated test scripts that interface with hardware.
  • Previous experience with spacecraft or satellite test development, execution, or hardware qualification and acceptance testing.
  • Ability to debug test script failures and trace root cause to hardware or software issues.
  • Familiarity with data bus protocols or hardware interface standards used in automated test contexts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document scripts and test coverage clearly.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle test automation in a bench or production environment.
  • Background with GSEOS, COSMOS, LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or similar ground test software.
  • Experience with LabVIEW or NI TestStand for automated functional test sequence development.
  • Familiarity with PyTest, CI/CD pipelines, or automated regression frameworks.
  • Experience with MATLAB or C++ in a test or simulation context.
  • Hands-on experience conducting tests in a lab setting.
  • Background with requirements verification and test traceability.

Compensation (by location)

  • Colorado: $110,938.00 - $155,312.85
  • Washington: $121,023.00 - $169,432.20
  • Other site ranges may differ
