Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshoot applied electronics and electrical systems including avionics hardware, PCBs, and electrical subsystems
  • Contribute to software, hardware-in-the-loop testing, instrumentation, controls, and system test activities
  • Support power systems, communication systems, propulsion integration, and manufacturing engineering
  • Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Work on rapid development programs both independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Degree earned within the last year; able to start Fall 2026
  • Applied electronics and electrical engineering experience including avionics hardware, PCBs, electrical systems, software, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD or equivalent drafting programs)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Relevant internship, co-op, and/or hands-on project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on rapid development programs
  • Self-driven with ability to seek requirements with minimal direction
  • Flexible, adaptable mindset and strong professional communication

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Design and test of avionics (electrical and mechanical)
  • Electrical systems focused on reliability and efficiency
  • Circuit design experience
  • Radiation effects knowledge
  • Robotics and motion control experience
  • Programming in C, C++, Matlab, or Simulink

Compensation

  • California: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40 annually
  • Colorado: $80,499.00 - $112,697.55 annually
  • Washington: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40 annually

  • U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or asylee
  • Blue Origin Standard Background Check required for all positions
  • DBIDS background check required if role requires access to military installations
