Early Career Pathways

Blue Origin offers two pathways for full-time employment:

• Direct Hire: Multiple positions available across Business Units. You will be matched with an engineering team based on your skillset and current business needs.
• New Graduate Rotation Program: A one-year development program with three four-month rotations through New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Permanence, Blue National Security, Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering, and Operations. You'll gain hands-on experience and mentorship, then collaborate with your Program Manager to determine your best team fit.

Responsibilities

• Work on applied electronics and electrical engineering including avionics hardware (PCBs to electrical systems), software, hardware in the loop, instrumentation, controls, system test, power systems, communication systems, mechanical systems, propulsion systems, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
• Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
• Specific duties are subject to business unit objectives.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Degree earned within the last year; able to start Fall 2027.
• Experience with applied electronics and electrical engineering including avionics hardware, software, and hardware in the loop.
• CAD software (AutoCAD or other drafting programs).
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Relevant internship, co-op, and/or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships, and strengthen a culture of inclusion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset.
• Self-driven with ability to seek requirements with minimal direction.

Desired Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on project experience.
• Experience with design and test of avionics (electrical, mechanical).
• Electrical systems with focus on reliability and efficiency.
• Circuit design.
• Radiation effects.
• Robotics and motion control.
• C, C++, Matlab, Simulink.

Compensation

Base Pay Range:

• CA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
• CO applicants: $80,499.00 - $112,697.55
• WA applicants: $87,816.00 - $122,942.40
