The Role

You will join the AI&T (Assembly, Integration and Test) team as an Electrical Test Engineer I, supporting electrical verification activities for spacecraft. In this entry-level role, you will execute test procedures under the guidance of senior test engineers, build hands-on spacecraft electrical test experience, and contribute to enabling high-rate satellite production.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute electrical test procedures under supervision; record results accurately and completely.
• Assist with bench and test equipment setup; perform pre-test and post-test equipment checks.
• Document test anomalies clearly; escalate off-nominal observations to senior engineers promptly.
• Support procedure updates and red-line mark-up incorporation following test execution.
• Maintain ESD compliance, bench cleanliness, FOD prevention discipline, and configuration accountability.
• Support test readiness gate preparations: hardware inventories, configuration verification, and checklists.
• Participate in test briefings, anomaly reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
• Learn and develop competency in electrical test methods, GSE operation, and data interpretation under mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in electrical test, electronics laboratory work, hardware verification, or related hands-on technical role; relevant internship or co-op experience accepted.
• Basic familiarity with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed technical procedures carefully and completely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data recording.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document observations clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience with spacecraft, satellite, or complex electronic systems test.
• Familiarity with data bus protocols (CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422) from coursework or lab experience.
• Basic Python or scripting experience; interest in test automation.
• Background with ESD-sensitive electronics handling.
• Academic or project experience with embedded systems, avionics, or spacecraft subsystems.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range:

• CO applicants: $74,537.00 - $104,351.10
• WA applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
• Other site ranges may differ
