- Implement software requirements derived from system-level specifications, ensuring traceability throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop and execute software unit tests, integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test procedures to verify software functionality and performance
- Collaborate closely with avionics, systems, and propulsion engineers to define software interfaces and resolve cross-discipline technical issues
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and technical peer reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software and hardware/software integration issues in a lab and test environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
- Proficiency in C++ programming in resource-constrained embedded environments
- Experience with Python development for tooling, test automation, or scripting in an engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing flight software for spacecraft, launch vehicles, or other safety-critical aerospace systems
- Familiarity with software verification for mission and safety-critical standards (DO178, NPR 7150.2, SMC-S-012)
