Embedded Software Engineer III - New Glenn Avionics Verified today
About the Role
You will develop flight software and tools for New Glenn avionics systems. As part of the New Glenn Avionics Software organization, you will be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of safety-critical real-time embedded software components and tools. Your work will directly enable New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle, to carry people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.
You will work on vehicle avionics and ground systems, sharing in the team's impact across all aspects of safety-critical embedded software development.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area
- 5+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python
- 2+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components
- Solid understanding of operating systems and network protocols fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field
- Experience with real-time operating systems
- Experience with safety-critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries
- Experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware components and programmable logic
Compensation
Base pay range for Colorado applicants: $150,931 - $211,303. Base pay range for Washington applicants: $164,652 - $230,513. Other site ranges may differ.
