Your responsibilities

  • Design and route fluid subsystems including pressurization, pneumatics, and reaction control systems.
  • Work with fluid components such as solenoid valves, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.
  • Use 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis tools (ANSYS preferred).
  • Deliver designs using ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards with clear, documented analysis reports.
  • Perform component verification of internally and externally sourced components to company standards.
  • Collaborate with other groups to integrate systems and resolve issues with calculated risk.
  • Lead and participate in component and system level testing and data analysis.
  • Manage vendor relationships, scheduling, and budget tracking for design projects.

  • 2 or more years of experience in aerospace propulsion and fluid systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid system component design or test.
  • Detail design experience with aerospace fluid systems and components in aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
  • Solid understanding of fluid components such as valves, regulators, tubing, and fittings.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control for tubes, piping, and machined components.
  • Working knowledge of materials and treatments.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships.

Desired experience

  • Experience with cryogenic hydrogen and oxygen systems.
  • Experience with welding application and use.
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
  • Experience qualifying components and systems for air or space flight.

Compensation

Base pay range varies by location: CA and WA applicants $99,201 - $138,880.35; CO applicants $90,934 - $127,307.25. Other site ranges may differ.
