Role Overview
As a Financial Analyst III for the Lunar Permanence business unit, you will partner with program leadership to drive financial performance and programmatic decisions. The Lunar Permanence unit is building sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with internal customers to prepare quarterly financial forecasts that align with the business unit's strategic goals and resource constraints
- Perform risk and opportunity assessment of program forecasts, providing potential solutions for mitigation and developing recovery plans
- Analyze financial performance to prepare reporting that provides insights into key drivers of financial performance
- Serve as a trusted business partner to program teams, proactively ensuring teams operate within financial constraints and invest capital wisely
- Build and continuously improve financial processes, including simplifying workflows, identifying key performance drivers and developing new tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related analytical field
- Minimum 5 years demonstrating performance in roles that include business planning, analyzing financial performance and reporting insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships with key business partners and the finance team
- Experience extracting data from qualitative and quantitative data sources to support business planning and performance measurement
- Intellectual curiosity in the products and operational processes that underlie the business unit's financials
- Demonstrated mindset towards continuous improvement
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance, CPA or other professional certification
- Moderate proficiency in data extraction using SQL programming
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range for Washington applicants: $104,027.00 to $145,637.10. Other site ranges may differ.
