Responsibilities

Your projects will include applied fluid and mechanical engineering work across:

  • Design, analysis, and test of fluid components and systems
  • Propulsion systems and mechanical systems
  • Integration of materials and processes
  • Manufacturing, systems test, and operations
  • Systems engineering

Specific duties are subject to business unit objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, or other relevant engineering field
  • Degree earned within the last year; able to start by Fall 2026
  • Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset with ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction

Desired Experience

  • M.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • 3D CAD programs
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Low-pressure fluid systems: fans, ducting, heat exchangers, capillary pumps, valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, seals
  • Thermodynamics, fluid flow, or heat transfer analysis
  • Safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware
  • Machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems

Experience in aerospace is not required. We value broad academic and industry experience from tech, oil and gas, nuclear, automotive, and other sectors. Compensation

Base pay range for WA applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85. Other site ranges may differ.
