About the Role
Multiple positions available across Blue Origin's business units. You will be matched with an engineering team based on your skills and experience and current business needs.
Your work will span applied fluid and mechanical engineering including design, analysis and test of fluid components and systems, propulsion systems and mechanical systems. Projects integrate materials, processes, manufacturing, systems test, operations and systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis of fluid systems and propulsion components
- Test and evaluation of pressurized and mechanical systems
- Integration of materials, processes and manufacturing approaches
- Systems engineering and operations support
- Collaboration across engineering teams on rapid development programs
Qualifications
- BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or related engineering field
- Degree earned within the last year, able to start Fall 2027
- Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and structural analysis
- Relevant internship, co-op or hands-on experience demonstrating technical and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-driven with ability to seek requirements with minimal direction
- Flexible and adaptable mindset
Desired Experience
- M.S. degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- 3D CAD programs
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Low-pressure fluid systems: fans, ducting, heat exchangers, capillary pumps, valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, seals
- Thermodynamics, fluid flow or heat transfer analysis
- Safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware
- Machining and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems

Compensation
Base pay range varies by location. Colorado applicants: $74,537 - $104,351. Washington applicants: $81,313 - $113,838. Other site ranges may differ.
Requirements
U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card), or lawfully admitted as refugee or asylee. Background check required for all positions. DBIDS background check required if role involves military installation access.
