Role Overview

You will work as part of Blue Origin Operations, supporting integrated supply chain, test operations, safety, and quality across all facilities. This role is based in the Greater Seattle Area with shifts available M-Th, 5am to 3:30pm. Relocation is provided, and travel is expected up to 5% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate robotic weld systems
• Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment
• Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections against engineering models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies through modification, rework, repair, and maintenance
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and truck-trailer combinations
• Setup and operate precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and optical measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance and 5S, FOD, and safety support in work areas
• Other duties as assigned to support the mission

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in automated welding equipment
• Experience in manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50lbs, and blending welds
• Ability to work any shift, extended overtime hours, and weekends as directed
• Self-sufficient, self-starter mindset with strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Metallurgical knowledge
• Expert-level hand tool fabrication and use

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certification, trade school training, or degree in related field
• Extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
• Experience fabricating jigs and fixtures for complex aerospace components
• Advanced knowledge of tube bending, facing, and cleaning techniques
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex issues
• Military experience
• Familiarity with aerospace cleanliness standards and compliant workspace maintenance
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
• Willingness to work overtime

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $32.15 to $45.00 per hour. Other site ranges may differ.
