About the Role
This position is part of Blue Origin Operations, which spans Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance across all Blue Origin facilities. You will be responsible for integrating the Lunar Operations team into the Blue Origin Operations framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate the Lunar Operations team into the Blue Origin Operations team, leveraging tools and processes across manufacturing teams.
- Lead multiple projects to support deployment of the Operational Strategy.
- Execute and adapt the Rhythm of Business with the Lunar Operations team and Program teammates.
- Manage Lunar Operations Risk Management and CapEx Management processes.
- Define project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments, and coordinate input.
- Track program progress and performance, providing ongoing reports to leadership and program sponsors.
- Develop and disseminate internal and external program communications.
- Facilitate change management activities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes.
- Participate in regular meetings with Lunar Operations Leadership and Business Unit to identify and overcome organizational barriers.
- Provide recommendations for effective decision-making in a high-velocity aerospace environment.
- Ensure information is gathered, organized, and presented to maximize decision speed.
- Influence leadership to deliver strategic business goals on time and on target.
- Communicate effectively at all levels and support organization development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business disciplines preferred).
- 8-10 years of relevant program management or operational experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and data communication skills.
- Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.
- Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering commitments, and accountability.
- Well-developed project management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Excellent people skills, including ability to influence without direct authority.
- Business savvy with understanding of marketplace, competitors, and technology.
- Demonstrated domain experience in at least one corporate function: Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or Configuration Management.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management.
- 6+ years of experience in an operations environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
