Blue Origin Operations seeks a Chief of Staff to directly support the Senior Manufacturing Leader of all lunar human-capable vehicle manufacturing. You will work with a large, dynamic team developing manufacturing and operations systems on the Florida Space Coast.
What you will do
- Provide mentorship using knowledge of strategy, business insights, and organizational structure
- Aid the Operations team in facilitating effective decision-making on complicated scenarios with major organizational impact
- Drive high-impact implementation of critical initiatives supporting overarching organizational objectives
- Participate in regular leadership meetings to evaluate organizational barriers and develop solutions
- Gather, coordinate, and present data effectively; ensure decisions are carried out and manage actions for Operations VP
- Influence leadership to deliver strategic business goals on time and on target
- Represent and provide operational support to the Operations VP as strategic expert to a large, high-value portfolio of projects and programs
- Collaborate with leadership team to align strategy with overall organizational goals
- Develop policies, practices, and procedures with significant organizational impact
- Manage strategic and tactical priorities and develop content with Operations VP
- Coordinate Operations internal communications including company announcements, quarterly updates, and all-hands presentations
- Identify, shape, and lead implementation of pivotal initiatives and emergent challenges
- Lead change management activities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes
What we need
- Bachelor's degree, preference toward Engineering Disciplines
- 10 years of relevant program management or operational experience
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and data presentation
- Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences
- Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function: Engineering, Business Management, or Operations
- High judgment with ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Capacity for functioning in emerging or ambiguous operating environments
- Well-developed project management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent people skills, including ability to influence without direct authority
- Business savvy with understanding of marketplace, competitors, and technology
- Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, and accountability
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to inclusive culture
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Based on the Florida Space Coast. Full-time position.
