About the Role

Blue Origin Operations is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support the Blue Moon Lunar Permanence business unit and production of the Blue Moon Mark 1 (MK1) Lunar Lander. You will lead shop floor manufacturing execution, translating engineering requirements into actionable work instructions, managing manufacturing bills of material, and processing build non-conformances.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with technicians and flight hardware to safely and efficiently progress shop floor production activities
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions to clearly define assembly and installation processes according to released design requirements
• Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods and tooling to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
• Support non-conformance repair and rework activities
• Perform in-build redlines and recommend engineering changes to improve design producibility
• Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and escapes, then deploy corrective actions
• Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies to strengthen feedback between design, build, and test

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or other relevant fields) from an accredited university
• Manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering experience: 3+ years (Level 2), 5+ years (Level 3), or 8+ years (Senior level)
• Demonstrated ownership in your area of responsibility
• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, automotive or similar production environments
• Strong written, technical, and software skills including CAD, scheduling, issue tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels
• Ability to support scheduled work shifts (including occasional rotation to 2nd or 3rd shift) and extended hours or weekends as required
• Physically able to support production floor activities: climb stairs, work in small areas, lift and carry 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or other relevant fields)
• Experience identifying tooling needs for production systems
• Proficiency writing work instructions at high pace
• Experience with Jules, Windchill, and Creo software
• Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn software tools for data analytics and manufacturing operations improvement

• Shifts Available: A Shift Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm; B Shift Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am; C Shift Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm; D Shift Friday-Sunday 5:00pm-5:30am
• Potential travel: Up to 10% for training and related activities
