About the role
You will join Blue Origin Operations as Manager of Manufacturing Operations and Assembly, overseeing aerospace component production. You'll lead teams to achieve operational excellence, collaborate across functions, and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
- Lead and optimize manufacturing operations for efficiency and quality
- Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules
- Mentor manufacturing teams and foster a positive work environment
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to address manufacturing challenges
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and metrics
- Monitor production performance and report to senior management
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
- Manage budget and resource allocation for manufacturing activities
- Support new product introductions and scale production capabilities
- Evaluate inputs and criteria to make informed decisions

Minimum qualifications
- 1+ years of team management experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment
- 5+ years as individual contributor in manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or military, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making
- Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee
Preferred qualifications
- Industry certification, trade school training, or related degree
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related field
- Experience with fluid systems and applied chemistry fundamentals
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (CAD software, ERP systems)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing regulatory compliance
- Proven track record of team leadership and project management
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
- Willingness to work overtime
