Role Overview
As an Assembly & Integration Technician at Blue Origin, you will provide hands-on technical support to engineering, production, and manufacturing teams. You will assemble, integrate, test, and troubleshoot aerospace systems and hardware, working from engineering drawings and detailed work instructions to build and verify prototype and production mechanical systems, structural systems, and avionics systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate subcomponents and final assemblies of structural, mechanical, and avionics systems according to engineering specifications.
- Configure production work areas with necessary tooling and equipment for efficient workflow during high-rate manufacturing transitions.
- Operate precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and micrometers to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Perform operational tests, troubleshooting, and fault isolation to ensure system integrity and reliability.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Support the transition from development to production and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles.
Technical Focus
You will work on the Lunar Human Landing System Solar Array products, assembling and verifying aerospace components including primary structure, mechanical assemblies, and avionics. You will collaborate on transforming how lunar solar arrays are manufactured and integrated, directly impacting the reliability and performance of lunar vehicle systems.
Position Details
- Location: Space Coast, FL
- Shifts available: A (Mon-Thurs 5:00 AM-3:30 PM), B (Mon-Thurs 3:00 PM-1:30 AM), C (Fri-Sun 5:00 AM-5:30 PM)

Minimum Qualifications
- 0-3 years aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related field experience (Level I Technician); 3+ years (Level II); 5+ years (Level III); 8+ years (Sr Level)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Hands-on experience with assembly and integration of structural and mechanical systems, including torquing and Composi-Loks.
- Experience with structures work: jig positioning, drilling, liquid shim application.
- Basic electrical test capability: use of DMMs, basic knowledge of voltage, current, and resistance.
- Avionics fabrication and assembly experience including soldering, crimping, and wire harnessing.
- Experience with bonding adhesives and sealants, including polymeric mix and application.
- Proficiency with precision calibration tools: torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and in confined spaces.
- Basic proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certification, trade school training, or degree in related field.
- Direct experience with wing structure assembly and integration, avionics integration, and aerospace launch vehicle or spacecraft assembly.
- Knowledge of precision assembly processes for large aerospace components.
- Small-scale Resistance Spot Welding (RSW) experience.
- Experience with composites production.
- Strong technical and leadership skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity for optimizing processes.
- Experience operating industrial power vehicles such as forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift.
- Willingness to work overtime.
