Role Overview
You will lead a dedicated team of engineers as the single-threaded leader for BE-7 combustion device delivery. This role combines program management, technical leadership, and team development to ensure successful delivery of assigned product scope.
Product Delivery Responsibilities
- Manage project scope with cost-effective execution while maintaining tight control of deliverables needed to meet program objectives
- Identify and manage technical, programmatic, scope, asset and safety risks and opportunities specific to program execution
- Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to drive product cost and meet delivery objectives
- Track team execution and manage unit product cost and life cycle cost
- Develop frameworks to collect and monitor key project metrics and data
Technical Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the technical plan aligned to customer requirements and internal design criteria
- Own the complete lifecycle of combustion device scope from development through qualification, rate production and cost-optimized commercial flight operations
- Manage interdisciplinary engineering tasks for overall system success
- Ensure quality of engineering outputs including drawings and analyses to internal and customer standards
- Support requirement decomposition, systems engineering, technical design, analysis, and verification/validation
Functional Management Responsibilities
- Oversee full employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, development, and performance management
- Foster continuous growth and learning environment while maintaining compliance with HR processes and policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven track record leading teams to deliver complex engineering products
- B.S. degree in Engineering or technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience leading teams designing and developing complex engineered products
- 5+ years of experience in relevant engineering field with significant aerospace propulsion systems experience
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Basic knowledge across engineering disciplines including requirements negotiation, design, analysis, manufacturing, testing and vehicle integration
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to culture of inclusion
- Must be U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as refugee or asylee
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with resource and budget management and reporting
- Experience with Agile, IMP-level scheduling, risk management, configuration management, requirements management processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement
- Familiarity with ANSYS, Windchill, and Creo Parametric
- Hands-on experience with development lifecycle of propulsion components and systems
- Experience planning and executing test programs for propulsion systems
- Proven ability to develop and maintain propulsion component roadmaps
Compensation
Base pay range for WA applicants: $150,743.00 to $211,039.50. Other site ranges may differ.
