NDT Technician - Penetrant (PT) / Radiography (RT) - Level II - B Shift Verified today
About the Role
You will perform multiple NDT methods for various spaceflight systems as part of a hardworking team of technicians. You will share in the team's impact on assuring part integrity, quality and life span. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and requires dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections using Penetrant Test (PT) inspection method.
- Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order.
- Perform all necessary daily, weekly, monthly process control checks.
- Document and organize inspection results.
- Interface and communicate with Engineers and Managers to describe inspection results.
- Successfully pass the General and Specific exam within the first 30 days of employment.
- Successfully pass the POD and Practical within the first 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 experience in Penetrant Inspection (PT, DR or film).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to support Monday through Thursday, 1st Shift with occasional overtime.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Capable of passing the Radiographic General and Specific exams in first 2 weeks of employment.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Desired Qualifications
- Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT).
- Radiography Inspection (RT).
- Experience with isotope work.
- Experience in low-rate high mix production environment, preferably in aerospace.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, additive manufacturing, forging, casting and composites fabrication.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Range for WA applicants: $27.67 to $38.73 per hour. Other site ranges may differ.
