Blue Origin is pioneering space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO).
Key Responsibilities
Design and Verification
- Design complex SOCs using Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Perform CDC, RDC, and LINT verification
- Write requirements, specifications, and test plans
- Optimize performance while managing power consumption
- Implement clock gating (dynamic and static) and multi-voltage SOC front end design
- Conduct formal verification and define functional coverage
- Execute module, subsystem, and complex SoC verification
- Perform cosimulation with software and gate simulation
- Integrate external IP, ARM CPUs (single and multi-core) with bus fabric, GIC, cache, MMU, and secure boot
- Integrate AXI bus, high performance DMA, and NOC architecture
- Integrate DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, and high-speed SerDes interfaces
- Design DSP structures including FIR, Cordic, FFT/IFFT, MAC, and circular buffers
- Develop modem using state-of-the-art DSP, coding, and framing (PHY and MAC layers)
- Manage time-bound data movement in DSP structures using time slots and timestamps
- Perform SOC top-level integration using models for analog macros
- Verify designs using golden reference models in Matlab, SystemC, or C
- Collect code coverage and define timing constraints
- Support back-end teams during DFT, LEC, floorplan, and STA
Post-Silicon
- Lead post-silicon bring-up activities
FPGA
- Manage ASIC to/from FPGA flow
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience
- Deep working knowledge and hands-on experience in innovative verification flows
Location
Onsite in San Diego, CA; Bay Area, CA; Austin, TX; or Kent, WA.
Compensation
Base pay range for CA and WA applicants: $230,398.00 - $322,556.85. Other site ranges may differ.
