About TeraWave

Blue Origin is pioneering space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO).

Key Responsibilities

Design and Verification

  • Design complex SOCs using Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Perform CDC, RDC, and LINT verification
  • Write requirements, specifications, and test plans
  • Optimize performance while managing power consumption
  • Implement clock gating (dynamic and static) and multi-voltage SOC front end design
  • Conduct formal verification and define functional coverage
  • Execute module, subsystem, and complex SoC verification
  • Perform cosimulation with software and gate simulation
  • Integrate external IP, ARM CPUs (single and multi-core) with bus fabric, GIC, cache, MMU, and secure boot
  • Integrate AXI bus, high performance DMA, and NOC architecture
  • Integrate DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, and high-speed SerDes interfaces
  • Design DSP structures including FIR, Cordic, FFT/IFFT, MAC, and circular buffers
  • Develop modem using state-of-the-art DSP, coding, and framing (PHY and MAC layers)
  • Manage time-bound data movement in DSP structures using time slots and timestamps
  • Perform SOC top-level integration using models for analog macros
  • Verify designs using golden reference models in Matlab, SystemC, or C
  • Collect code coverage and define timing constraints
  • Support back-end teams during DFT, LEC, floorplan, and STA
