About New Glenn
New Glenn is a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
The Role
As part of the New Glenn Avionics Software organization, you will develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems. You will be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of software components and tools critical for New Glenn's mission. You will work on vehicle avionics and ground systems, sharing in the team's impact on all aspects of safety-critical real-time embedded software development.
Responsibilities
- Develop flight software and tools for spaceflight systems
- Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems software
- Conduct requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and testing
- Apply technical expertise and commitment to quality in safety-critical systems
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related discipline
- 2 or more years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python
- Solid understanding of embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components
- Good understanding of operating systems and network protocols fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related discipline
- Experience with real-time operating systems
- Experience with safety-critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries
- Solid understanding of software interfaces with hardware components and programmable logic
Compensation
Base pay range varies by location: CO applicants $123,714.00 to $173,199.60 annually; WA applicants $134,961.00 to $188,945.40 annually. Other site ranges may differ.
