About this role

You'll join Blue Origin Operations, supporting the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components. This is a hands-on production control position requiring strong communication, planning, and project management skills to directly impact human spaceflight programs.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

What you'll do

  • Evaluate manufacturing schedules and coordinate material and service availability to meet customer requirements
  • Release and close shop orders in MRP system; reconcile parts
  • Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicate scheduling constraints
  • Prepare work orders for parts production based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory
  • Coordinate across warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program departments
  • Schedule and expedite parts movement through move orders, stock transfers and shipping requests
  • Resolve material shortages by working with procurement, receiving, quality and production
  • Implement and monitor material stocking strategy on production lines
  • Control material access and consumption; maintain inventory accountability
  • Monitor job flow velocity through production and partner with teams to meet schedules
  • Track disposition of Material Review Board (MRB) and stranded material
  • Enter material transactions in ERP system
  • Prepare reports; note shortages and damage
  • Process scrap and obsolete inventory from work-in-progress locations
  • Prepare for and assist in cycle count reconciliation
  • Support backflush process execution
  • Resolve part discrepancies with Production and Materials teams

Required qualifications

  • 2+ years supply chain experience
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Experience with planning and/or scheduling activities
  • Cross-functional team experience
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office
  • ERP experience with MRP execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of continuous improvement: LEAN, Six Sigma, DFSS, Value Stream, Kaizen

Desired qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and occasional travel
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload, program priorities and customer requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Work environment

Depending on job duties, you may work in areas with exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (below OSHA and ACGIH limits), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, and high noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
