Requirements, Architecture and Documentation
- Lead requirements analysis and architecture definition for EPS subsystems with complete traceability from vehicle-level requirements through circuit-level implementation
- Author and own hardware requirements documents, interface control documents, design specifications, and architecture trade studies
- Independently determine methods and procedures for new EPS design assignments and establish them as standards for the team
- Prepare and chair technical design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), driving closure of all findings and action items
Verification, Test and Anomaly Resolution
- Lead development of hardware verification and validation plans with full requirements traceability
- Own environmental qualification and acceptance test strategies for power system hardware
- Lead anomaly investigations and root cause analyses for complex EPS failures and own development and implementation of recovery plans
- Apply technical judgment to evaluate and disposition test anomalies, driving the corrective action process through design resolution
Program Leadership and Ownership
- Own schedule, budget, and technical milestones for your EPS hardware scope; hold program-level technical approval authority
- Lead projects and significant tool development initiatives; own process improvements that increase design efficiency and reduce errors
- Provide support to strategic initiatives including technology roadmapping, EPS architecture maturation, and documentation of best practices
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and train engineers at multiple levels on EPS design, analysis techniques, verification methods, and hardware release criteria
- Review technical work with the ability to detect subtle design flaws and provide actionable improvements
- Develop processes and standards that improve efficiency and quality of EPS design and verification
- Build strong working relationships with systems engineering, mechanical, thermal, software, and test teams
