Fluid Systems & Propulsion Engineering Internship - Summer 2027

Join Blue Origin's engineering teams as a graduate intern working on fluid systems and propulsion. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and test of fluid components, propulsion systems, and mechanical systems that support our space vehicles and business units.

What You Will Do

  • Gain hands-on, real-world experience in fluid systems and propulsion engineering
  • Receive mentorship and feedback from engineering mentors and managers
  • Participate in technical projects and learn about other parts of the organization
  • Contribute to design, analysis, and testing activities for propulsion and fluid systems

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program with at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for space exploration

Desired Experience

  • MATLAB or Simulink
  • Programming languages including Python, C/C++
  • MCNP or similar radiological analysis tools
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or academic project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Co-curricular engagement

Compensation and Logistics

Hourly rate: $38.00

Blue Origin offers housing and relocation support. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from work locations.
