Guidance, Navigation & Controls Internship

Blue Origin is developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. As an intern, you will work directly with engineering teams on projects supporting our business units.

What you will work on

GNC projects span guidance, navigation, controls, autonomy, avionics, simulation, system test, aero sciences, and systems engineering.

During your internship you will

  • Gain hands-on, real-world experience
  • Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers
  • Participate in events to learn about other parts of the organization

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one semester remaining after the internship
  • Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at time of application (sophomore standing)
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with MATLAB or SIMULINK
  • Passion for space

Desired Experience

  • Relevant internship, co-op, and academic project experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership
  • Hands-on project experience
  • Experience with avionics software
  • Experience with C/C++

Compensation and logistics

Hourly compensation: $32.00

Blue Origin offers housing and relocation support. You are responsible for daily transportation to and from work locations.
