Technician - Avionics (Engines) - All Levels - All Shifts Verified today
Role Overview
This position supports Blue Origin's Engines Electro-Mechanical Actuator (EMA) assembly team. You will provide hands-on technical support to engineering and manufacturing, performing test, assembly, fabrication, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems including electronic circuits, power distribution, and critical safety systems.
What You'll Do
- Assemble, repair, and evaluate electrical harness assemblies for New Glenn and other spaceflight systems
- Fabricate and inspect wire harness assemblies using standard harnessing tools, wire stripping, crimping, and splicing
- Perform assembly soldering operations and verification testing to ensure product quality
- Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment using digital multimeters and other troubleshooting tools
- Assist with new designs, working directly with engineering to establish standard processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Manage changing project priorities while maintaining precision and safety standards
- Provide feedback on assemblies and designs to improve existing components and processes
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies
- 2+ years experience with standard harnessing tools, measuring, and layout of assembly
- 2+ years experience using testing and troubleshooting tools such as a digital multimeter
- At least 3 years experience in Aerospace Avionics or related field
- Familiarity with torquing procedures, sizing fasteners, and harness assembly/disassembly/modification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Visio, and related programs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and dimensional layout drawings
- Able to lift 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years experience in avionics or electronics development and testing
- 4+ years fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies
- 4+ years experience with standard harnessing tools and assembly layout
- 4+ years experience with testing and troubleshooting tools
- Familiarity with Altium, CAD, EasyWire, and allspice.io
- Current or expired certifications: IPC-A-610 (PCBA inspection), IPC/WHMA-A-620 (harness assembly), J-STD-001 (soldering), IPC-7711/7721 (PCBA rework)

- Potential for additional weekday hours and overtime as requested
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range for Washington applicants: $43.74 - $61.24 per hour. Other site ranges may differ.
