About the role

This is an early-career test engineering position at Blue Origin. Multiple positions are available across business units, and you will be matched with an engineering team based on your skills and experience.

You will be co-located with your team and the hardware you support in Seattle, WA.

What you will do

  • Design, analyze, and operate test systems for fluid, propulsion, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • Integrate safety, manufacturing, operations, materials, processes, instrumentation, test control systems, and systems engineering into projects.
  • Analyze test data to support requirements verification.
  • Direct integration of hardware into test facilities.
  • Conduct test planning, risk assessments, evaluation, mitigations, test setup, execution, post-test data review, and performance analysis.
  • Develop test support software and equipment to improve test frequency and quality.
  • Identify, scope, and resolve test-related problems.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or similar discipline, earned within the last year.
  • Experience in a testing environment and executing test procedures.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, and/or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • Self-driven with ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and strengthen culture of inclusion.

Desired qualifications

  • Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, AutoCAD P&ID, Winplot, Windchill, or Creo.
  • Experience with hazard and risk analysis.

Compensation

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $81,313.00 - $113,837.85. Other site ranges may differ.
