About the Role
You will contribute to the full lifecycle design and implementation of board-level and system-level electronics hardware for advanced RF communication systems. This position offers the opportunity to develop core engineering skills while working alongside a highly experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment.
The Skylark product line focuses on rapid design, build, and test of active phased array antennas (AESA) for terrestrial and airborne applications. Current programs span high-power, large-scale ground terminals for missile defense to commercial airline and helicopter connectivity solutions.
What You Will Do
- Design and analyze board-level and system-level electronics hardware
- Develop schematics and PCB layouts using industry tools
- Perform circuit simulation, signal integrity analysis, and power integrity analysis
- Test designs using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and logic analyzers
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineering teams
- Develop bring-up plans and design verification plans for new circuit elements
- Support delivery of designs from concept through production and deployment
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Industry experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test
- Strong EE fundamentals
- Working knowledge of adjacent fields such as software and mechanical engineering
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, or logic analyzers
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to ask questions and implement feedback
Preferred Experience
- PCB layout experience using Altium, Cadence, or KiCAD (Altium preferred)
- Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment
- Experience using LTSpice for circuit and system level simulations
- Experience implementing microcontrollers or FPGAs into designs
- Worst-case circuit analysis, signal integrity analysis, and power integrity analysis
- Develop bring-up plans and design verification plans for new circuit elements
