About the role
CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and aerospace platforms. We are seeking an FPGA Verification Engineer II to join our team and work on leading-edge phased array systems.
What you will do
- Develop state-of-the-art UVMf-based top-level and module-level testbenches using best practices for reusability, including control and data plane stimulation using VIP and System Verilog DPI-C integration with MATLAB and Python models.
- Lead the development of reusable custom VIP modules.
- Evaluate and implement FPGA and digital design simulation, verification and emulation infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain and deploy continuous integration and regression testing infrastructure.
- Train and mentor engineers at all experience levels on UVMf testbench usage and modern FPGA and digital design approaches.
- Work with modeling and scientific staff to implement DPI-C dataplane verification interfaces into existing MATLAB and Python models.
- Evaluate current FPGA and digital design processes with focus on Xilinx TLM models and QEMU-RP integration.
- Collaborate with vendors to define requirements for future simulation model deliverables.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best-practices in FPGA and digital design methodologies.
- Work with engineering leadership to evaluate and implement process improvements.
What you need
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in verification and automation.
- Knowledge of FPGA digital design verification techniques: VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C/C++, SystemC, UVM/UVMf, DPI-C, TLM, Formal CDC and functional analysis, QEMU, and VIP.
- Understanding of digital design automation infrastructure including CI, regression testing and HIL testing.
- Competency with Linux.
- Knowledge of Xilinx FPGA development tools.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident status, conditional resident, asylee or refugee status, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (export control requirement).
