CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We seek a Senior FPGA Engineer to join our team in Westminster, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases
  • Develop HDL designs including high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clocks and clock domains, and management interfaces
  • Perform testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs
  • Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive team
  • Participate in proposal-writing efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5 years of industry or university research experience in FPGA design, analysis, and implementation at the HDL level
  • Expertise in FPGA design and verification tools: Verilog, VHDL, HDL Coder, Xilinx Vivado, ModelSim
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace design and qualification
  • Worst-case analysis, failure mode and criticality analysis, reliability analysis
  • Board-level hardware design
  • Communications systems and digital signal processing
