Senior FPGA Engineer Verified today
CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We seek a Senior FPGA Engineer to join our team in a hands-on, collaborative role.
Responsibilities
- Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases
- Develop FPGA HDL designs including high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clocks and clock domains, and management interfaces
- Conduct testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs
- Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership
- Participate in proposal-writing efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
- 5 years of industry or university research experience in FPGA systems design, analysis, and implementation at the HDL level
- Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL Coder, Xilinx Vivado, Modelsim, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace design and qualification
- Worst-case analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability analysis
- Board-level hardware design
- Communications systems and digital signal processing
