CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and aerospace platforms. We are seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join our hardware team in Westminster, CO.
Your Responsibilities
- Design RF circuits and systems through all phases of development: concept, requirements, part selection, schematic, PCB layout, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support.
- Lead board-level schematic design and PCB layout of RF circuits including phased array front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and antennas.
- Conduct system-level analysis including link budgets, modulation schemes, and worst-case circuit analysis.
- Perform simulations, design tests, and troubleshoot RF hardware.
- Present engineering design reviews to customers and executive leadership.
- Contribute to proposal writing efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in RF electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with professional simulation tools (CST, ADS) and EDA tools (Altium).
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments: vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain U.S. Department of State authorization per export regulations.
Preferred Experience
- MATLAB or other programming languages.
- Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.
- Worst-case circuit analysis, failure method and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.
- Antenna design.
- EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques.
