CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and airborne platforms. We are seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join our hardware team in Melbourne, FL.

What you will do

You will be responsible for RF circuits and systems across all development phases: concept, requirements definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. Your work will include block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations, and test design.

Your focus will be phased array communication systems, including RF front-ends, frequency converters and synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas. You will apply board-level RF electronics design, schematic design, PCB layout, link budgets, and modulation scheme analysis. You will also present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team, and contribute to proposal writing.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of industry experience in RF electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with professional simulation tools (CST, ADS) and EDA tools (Altium)
  • Hands-on lab experience with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred experience

  • MATLAB or other programming languages
  • Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification
  • Worst-case circuit analysis, failure method and criticality analyses, reliability analysis
  • Antenna design
  • EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques
