Senior RF Test Engineer II Verified today
CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and airborne platforms. We are seeking a Senior RF Test Engineer to join our team in Westminster, CO.
What you will do
You are responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering test plans and procedures for critical RF systems. You will collaborate with design and test engineering teams to develop test requirements, map requirements to reusable test architectures, implement test procedures, and present results to stakeholders.
As a senior-level engineer, you will architect RF test systems, draw insightful conclusions from test results, and participate in design-for-test planning from early product development stages. You will also manage lab operations, guide equipment purchases, present design review materials to customers and executives, and contribute to proposal writing.
What we need
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 5 years industry experience with RF test systems design, analysis, and implementation (or 4 years with a master's degree)
- High proficiency with RF measurements (Linearity, NSD, EVM, etc.)
- Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers
- Proficiency with statistics and metrology as applied to RF test design
- Hands-on experience with digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience
- Phased array testing
- Programming or scripting (Python, MATLAB, C/C++)
- Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas) and test design implications
