Spring 2027 – Test Engineering Internship Verified today
CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and airborne platforms. We're seeking a Test Engineer Intern for Spring 2027 to join our Austin team and gain hands-on experience in electronics test engineering.
What You'll Do
- Execute electronics lab tests: functional testing, digital signal integrity verification, and power converter control loop measurements
- Work with test architectures, equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging, and system interfaces
- Assemble complex test setups with design engineers and technicians
- Run tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using engineering principles
- Collect and analyze test data to identify trends and improvements
- Support quality control activities including inspections, testing, and root cause analysis
- Present your work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering at an accredited institution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail in documentation and quality control
- Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on lab equipment: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers
- Programming or scripting in Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C
- Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas)
This is a competitively compensated, onsite position in Austin, TX. You must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
