CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and airborne platforms. We're seeking a Test Engineer Intern for Spring 2027 to join our Austin team and gain hands-on experience in electronics test engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Execute electronics lab tests: functional testing, digital signal integrity verification, and power converter control loop measurements
  • Work with test architectures, equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging, and system interfaces
  • Assemble complex test setups with design engineers and technicians
  • Run tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using engineering principles
  • Collect and analyze test data to identify trends and improvements
  • Support quality control activities including inspections, testing, and root cause analysis
  • Present your work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering at an accredited institution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail in documentation and quality control
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on lab equipment: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, vector signal analyzers
  • Programming or scripting in Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C
  • Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas)

This is a competitively compensated, onsite position in Austin, TX. You must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
