You will develop, maintain, and enforce modeling standards and best practices for Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct, document, and present static, thermal, dynamic, and fatigue analyses for rocket engines and vehicles using FEA, CFD, thermal modeling, and first principles calculations
  • Collaborate throughout engine component design cycles to drive necessary analyses
  • Ensure model predictions are grounded in reality through hands-on validation
  • Work closely with hardware and test teams to anchor models and improve designs
  • Produce quality documentation to reduce error rates and improve efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
  • Strong experience with engineering simulation and numerical analysis methods
  • Experience with 0-D and 1-D thermal and fluid networks
  • Proficiency in simulation platforms such as ANSYS and/or Thermal Desktop
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing enterprise-level simulation standards and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, or industrial certification environments
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages, specifically Python
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver against aggressive schedules

Compensation

Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually, based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
